ROUND ROBIN CHRISTMAS GET TOGETHER.

Thursday 7th December 2023

In the absence of our illustrious chairman Tony Fox, I have been asked to step in and write a few words about the very successful morning get together.

There were 32 competitors playing in a two-wood Round Robin consisting of three ends and two matches each team. The winners being the team who scored the most points overall.

Before the Round Robin started we played a spider competition which was won by Hillary Manning ( her bottle prize is still to be located, only Tony knows where it is!)  so well done Hillary. The Round Robin was won with an eleven point total by Dave & Allen. It was great to see everyone mixing together from both the U3A stalwarts and the rest of the Brecks members.

We must definitely do this more frequently.

My thanks must go to all those who helped organise and deliver this successful morning, with a very special “Thank you”  to Jan Medcalf who put in a tremendous effort organising it.  Thank you Jan!

Finally I would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.

Best regards
Fred Shields
Vice Chairman.
